Hang Seng ends in negative column

Stocks in Hong Kong fell 0.14 percent despite data showing manufacturing activity in China had picked up in March. The benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 30.56 points to 22,225.88 on turnover of HK$64.92 billion.
Stocks in Shanghai closed 0.30 percent higher. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 6.87 points to 2,324.24 on turnover of 104.8 billion yuan. -AFP
