Bangladesh President Rahman dies

Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman died at the age of 83 at a Singapore hospital today.
The ailing president breathed his last at Mount Elizabeth Hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for respiratory problems and some other complications since March 11, The Daily Star reported online.
"The president died at a hospital here in Singapore at 6.47 pm local time,'' Bangladesh High Commissioner in Singapore M. Mahbubuzzaman told AFP by phone.
