Cyprus bailout estimates lowered
(03-14 19:07)

A top European official says a bailout package for Cyprus and its troubled financial sector will likely be closer to 10 billion euro than the 17 billion estimate earlier.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who heads the Eurogroup, told Dutch national broadcaster NOS on the sidelines of a debate in parliament late yesterday, that reports Cyprus will receive 17 billion euro are mistaken, AP reports.
“That's going considerably lower, in the direction of ten billion [euro],'' Dijsselbloem said.
