More work urged on economic development

Advisers to Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying have urged the government to take a more pro-active approach towards developing the economy.
They cited successful cases in Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea, where government action has helped to boost the economy, RTHK reports.
This emerged during the first meeting of Leung's Economic Development Commission, which is made up of bankers, manufacturers and academics.
Leung said the government was prepared to make direct investment in certain sectors. citing precedents such as Ocean Park, Hong Kong Disneyland and the MTR Corporation.
