(03-13 18:20)
Pearl Oriental Oil (0632) said deputy chairman and executive director Lew Mon-hung has resigned from the firm, citing health conditions. He does not have any disagreement with the board, the firm said in a statement filed to the stock exchange.
Meanwhile, Wong Kwan has resigned as chief executive officer , but remains as chairman and executive director of the company. Wong also is the authorized representative of Pearl Oriental Oil.
Wong and Lew were previously arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption on January 8.
Then Lew was arrested again by the ICAC over a letter allegedly threatening Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying.
Lew had earlier accused Leung of failing to deliver on promises he made during his election campaign. He says Leung lied about the illegal structures at his Peak home.
