RTHK row escalates
(03-13 13:29)

The RTHK Programme Staff Union has accused the Director of Broadcasting, Roy Tang Yun-kwong, of introducing censorship at the station.
This came after Tang was accused of meddling with editorial independence by asking producers to give a detailed explanation of why they devised the idea of using the character of Adolf Hitler in a satirical TV show, Headliner, RTHK reports.
The programme's executive producer, Liu Wai-ling, said she'd heard more "noises" about her show within the station since Mr Tang arrived a year ago. The chairwoman of the staff union, Janet Mak Yin-ting, said such "mental censorship" restricted staff members from thinking freely.
