Hang Seng flat at close
(03-07 16:39)

Hong Kong shares ended flat on Thursday, with late buying helping to offset the earlier losses that were fuelled by profit-taking from the previous day's gains.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged down 6.40 points to 22,771.44 on turnover of HK$64.00 billion, AFP reports.
Chinese shares ended down 0.98 percent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 22.89 points to 2,324.29 on turnover of 126.1 billion yuan.
