Sydney gang rape suspects elude police
(03-06 15:29)

Police in Australia are scanning surveillance tapes to trace five suspects involved in a gang rape of a young girl over three hours following a party.
The girl was abducted in Sydney’s northwest early Sunday by five men in a car who stopped to ask her for directions. She was going home after a party on Saturday night.
She was raped and dumped in a bloodied state a few streets from home. The savage attack is comparable to the gang-rape in India’s capital in December except that in the Sydney attack the 18-year-old girl survived to endure the horror in the Sunshine State.
Police have yet to identify the suspects in the attack against the high school student.
Sydney police have advised women to walk with friends and keep mobile phones, media reports said. They did not say how that would prevent a possible gang rape.
