Eviction of rooftop residents delayed

Court bailiffs have postponed the eviction of residents from illegal rooftop homes in Sham Shui Po. Today was the deadline for the 17 households to move, but the occupants said they had nowhere to go.
Some said they were ready to die for their homes, which they bought years ago. But no recognised leases exist for the structures which have been deemed illegal. The residents are hoping to be given public housing, RTHK reports.
