Chavez struggling with breathing

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is suffering from a “new and severe’’ infection that worsened his breathing, the information minister said.
“Today there is a worsening of respiratory function,'' Information Minister Ernesto Villegas said in a statement read from the Caracas military hospital where the leftist leader, 58, is being treated, AFP reports.
