Premier Wen Jiabao told the National People's Congress today that Beijing will continue to contain speculative activities in the real estate market.
“We will strengthen property market adjustments and speed up construction of affordable housing. We will curb speculation and speculative demand. This year we will basically finish construction of 4.7 million units of affordable housing, and start building 6.3 million units,’’ he said.
