Quarterly land sales details to replace application list
(02-28 17:11)

The government will cease the application list system starting next fiscal year beginning April, said Development Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po. Instead, the government will announce details of its land sales program every quarter.
Chan said the government has regained the right to control land supply through land auctions. He said that the system, which required property developers to take the initiative to trigger a land sale, had only been a limited success in boosting housing supply over the past two years.
