(2013-2014 Budget) Parties give mixed reactions to budget
(02-27 17:14)

The DAB Party said it was pleased with the relief measures announced in the budget.
But its vice-chairwoman, legislator Starry Lee Wai-king, said the government should do more for the so-called "N-nothings" who don't receive government assistance -- or benefit from the relief measures, RTHK reports.
The vice-chairman of the Democratic Party, Sin Chung-kai, said the budget was disappointing. And the leader of the Civic Party, Alan Leong Kah-kit, was also critical.
The Federation of Trade Unions said the Financial Secretary had been too conservative in the way he addressed the problem of retirement protection.
