Chinese navy gets new stealth frigate
(02-26 17:24)

State media say China's navy has taken delivery of a new type of stealth frigate. The People's Liberation Army Daily says the ship, identified as a Type 056 stealth frigate, was delivered to the navy at a ceremony in Shanghai.
The report gave no details of the ship's weaponry but said it possesses "good stealth performance and electromagnetic compatibility." It also said more of the new vessels were being built and they needed only a third of the crew members of their predecessor, RTHK reports.
