Travel Industry Council suspends 3A Holidays membership

The Travil Industry Council has decided to unprecedentedly suspend the membership of 3A holidays, meaning that the travel agent may be barred from doing any business, said director Johnny Leung Ka-kui. The suspension will last until a probe into the agent and the incident is complete.
Leung said the owner of 3A Holidays failed to show up in a meeting to explain the issue to the council's board today.
3A Holidays left a mainland tour group to sleep overnight on a coach.
The Executive Director of the Travel Industry Council, Joseph Tung Yiu-chung, had earlier said he is disappointed that the owner of 3A Holidays for failing to appear today. Wong Wing-kin was given until 10 o'clock this morning to show up. Tung said he received a call from Wong's daughter saying he was ill.
3A Holidays has 14 days to appeal the decision.
