National lottery sale jumps in January

Lottery sale surged by 51 percent from a year ago to 24.9 billion yuan in January, the Ministry of Finance said. Welfare lotto sale increased by 48.5 percent from a year back to 14.7 billion, while sports lottery sale gained 55 percent to 10.2 billion yuan over the period.
