Sony unveils PlayStation 4, just the controller

The Japanese electronics company, Sony, has unveiled the latest version of its PlayStation gaming console at an event in New York.
The upgraded system is a response to the changes that have taken place in gaming since the release of its predecessor, the PlayStation 3, seven years ago, RTHK reports.
However, the newly designed controller was only shown, where the console and its pricing remain unknown for now.
Gamers have taken to low-cost or free games on smartphones and tablet computers and to multi-player gaming over the internet.
The PlayStation 4 will allow users to stream and play games hosted on other servers.
