Lawmakers call hospital sex abuse checks 'ridiculous'

Legislators have branded the system for reporting sexual abuse cases in public hospitals as ridiculous. The Undersecretary for Food and Health, Sophia Chan Siu-chee, told them that the Hospital Authority's reporting mechanism was voluntary, and there had been 13 reported cases over the past five years. But the Democratic Party's Helena Wong Pik-wan says she believes that's just the tip of the iceberg, RTHK reports.
