French inflation eases in January

Annual consumer price inflation in France dipped to 1.2 percent in January from 1.3 percent in December, the nationals statistics institute INSEE said Wednesday.
Consumer prices dropped by 0.5 percent from December on a monthly basis, after having risen by 0.3 percent the previous month, AFP reports.
Using the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, the ECB's inflation yardstick, the rate of annual inflation in France was 1.4 percent in January.
