Yuan trade settlement more than doubled in January

Total yuan trade settlement amounted to 314 billion yuan in January, up 140 percent from a year back, the People's Bank of China announced. Direct investment in yuan grew 90 percent to 29.2 billuin yuan.
Off-shore yuan settlement amounted to 225.7 billion yuan last month, with direct investment in the mainland's currency at 28.1 billion yuan.
