Hang Seng soars to start Year of Snake

Hong Kong stocks surged 1.06 percent in the first few minutes of trade Thursday as dealers returned from a three-day break for Lunar New Year.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index opened 245.15 points higher at 23,460.31, AFP reports.
