Travel agency shutdown affects hundred of tourists

Yi-qi Tours, which has been in operation for just a few months, has ended operations due to financial issues.
The main office in Lai Chi Kok will remain open until Friday, where all other branches in Mong Kok, Kwun Tong and Tuen Mun have been closed.
Travel Industry Council executive director Joseph Tung Yao-chung said Yi-qi informed the council last night. About 130 tourists were affected, involving HK$350,000.
Tung said affected customers can seek compensation through Travel Industry Compensation Fund.
Yi-qi Tours, registered under Megafun Holiday International Travel Limited, obtained its license in September.
