Hong Kong business conditions continue to improve: survey
(02-05 10:54)

Hong Kong continued to see better business operating condition, as HSBC Hong Kong Purchasing Managers’ Index stayed above 50.0 neutral mark for the fourth straight month in January.
The index went up to 52.5 in the month from 51.7 in December, marking the strongest growth in 11 months.
"Robust demand conditions continue to fan inflationary pressures, an issue that will likely resume dominance in policy maker concerns again by mid-year, especially as business activity picks up additional momentum,'' said HSBC economist Donna Kwok.
