UPS pulls TNT deal

United Parcel Service said it withdrew its offer for TNT Express, after the European Commission has issued a formal decision prohibiting the proposed acquisition of the Netherlands-based courier delivery services firm.
The regulator said the 5.2 billion euro deal that allows UPS to expand businesses in Asia and Latin America would harm consumers' benefits.
