Downward movement in the Nikkei

Stocks in Tokyo opened 0.47 percent lower, tracking falls on Wall Street after US data showed the economy unexpectedly shrank in the fourth quarter last year.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 52.39 points at 11,061.56 at the start, AFP reports.
