Japanese men declare love in public
(01-30 15:10)

Valentine's Day hasn't arrived just yet, but Japanese men expressed love for their wives on Tuesday in a very public way.
Dozens of Japanese men got together in a Tokyo park and yelled "I love you" to their spouses.
In a country where modesty and reticence are traditionally valued over outspokenness, expressing love can be difficult.
Messages vary from a simple "I love you" to more literary sentences.
"I can fly higher because you're with me. Please stand by me forever," Yusuke Ishikawa, a businessman from Tokyo, yelled in front of those who participated in last night's event.
Kiyotaka Yamana started the event five years ago with a support from a local flower shop. He's advocating more explicit ways for Japanese men to show their affection.Yamana says the recent thaw in the Japanese economy is good for interpersonal relationships.
