Tsang, Lew not on CPPCC list
(01-30 12:02)

Former Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and Lew Mon-hung -- supporter-turned-arch foe of chief Executive Leung Chun-ying -- are not on the preliminary list of new term Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference members, said CPPCC Standing Committee member Chan Wing-kee.
Former Chief Secretary Henry Tang Ying-yen, ex-commissioner of the anti-graft agency Timothy Tong Hin-ming, Hospital Authority chief Anthony Wu Ting-yuk are among the members on the list.
Tung Chee-hwa, Deputy Chairman of the CPPCC, is also on the list.
Chan said it is not easy to have two deputy chairmen for a small city such as Hong Kong.
And Beijing does not seem to want to make it a tradition for outgoing CE to be a vice chairman on the body, added Chan, who expects Tung will remain deputy chairman of the CPPCC.
