Commerce school to close in August
(01-29 12:45)
Sacred Heart Canossian College of Commerce in the Mid-Levels is set to close by the end of August.
There were originally 40 teachers at the school, but about 10 have quit before the new semester has begun. According to documents submitted by the Education Bureau to the Legislative Council, the college failed to admit at least 160 students for two straight years.
The college, founded in 1905, was the first all-girl Catholic post-secondary institute. It provides programs for Higher Diploma in Business.
