Lew challenges CY on illegal structures
(01-24 13:23)

Lew Mon-hung, a Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference delegate, said he has evidence to prove Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying had lied over the illegal structures.
In an interview with a mainland magazine iSun Affairs Weekly, Lew said Leung had made false claim about an inspection in his Peak residence. Leung had told reporters that he had engaged two professionals and a lawyer to inspect his house when he bought it and no illegal structures had been found.
Lew, who has been a strong support of the Chief Executive, said he asked Leung to disclose the names of the three people before taking office. But Barry Cheung Chun-yuen, the chairman of Leung's campaign office, said that the three people did not exist, the magazine said, citing Lew. Lew said he was told that Leung had found only one professional to inspect his house some ten years ago -- and that man had since died.
A spokesman for the Chief Executive Office said that Leung had already given an account for the illegal structures and had nothing to add.
