Jailed lawyer allowed family visit
(01-23 18:12)

New York-based Human Rights in China says imprisoned human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng has been allowed a family visit for the first time in nearly 10 months.
It quoted his wife as saying Gao appeared clear-minded and spoke normally during the visit by his younger brother and father-in-law at a prison in the far west Xinjiang region, RTHK reports.
Gao was imprisoned in December 2011 for violating probation after being released from a previous sentence imposed in 2006 for inciting subversion of state power.
