CE assures movement on political reforms
(01-22 14:35)

Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said political reform will continue as planned and he expects to have enough time for consultations in four to five years.
Speaking in an online youth program, Leung said the government to have to deal with issues in terms of priority.
He said he will first focus on housing and poverty before dealing with other matters. But he stressed that political development has not stalled.
Beijing has promised direct elections for Hong Kong's chief executive in 2017, and for the Legislative Council in 2020.
He stressed political reform would not be pushed aside.
Meanwhile, Emily Lau Wai-hing, chairwoman of the Democratic Party pressed for consultation on double universal suffrage. She said she supports the government's communication with the liaison office, as long as the office does not interfere Hong Kong's governance.
