Ferrer struggles through in five-setter

Spain's fourth seed David Ferrer fought back from two sets down to beat compatriot Nicolas Almagro in five sets and reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open today.
Ferrer won 4-6, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2 in 3 hour 44 minutes and will face the winner of the quarter-final between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych, AFP reports.
