Hang Seng ends on losing column

Stocks in Hong Kong closed flat today following a weak lead from Wall Street and ahead of the release of closely-watched China growth figures. The benchmark Hang Seng Index eased 17.23 points to 23,339.76 on turnover of HK$78.29 billion.
Shares in Shanghai closed down 1.06 percent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 24.59 points to 2,284.91 on turnover of 103.2 billion yuan.
