Taxi rules extended by a year

The scheme to relax peak-hour and 7am to 7pm no-stopping restrictions on roads with speed limits below 70 kilometers per hour for taxis would be extended for 12 months up to January 31, 2014, the Transport Department announced today.
The department and the police will continue to closely monitor the traffic situations and take appropriate enforcement action against taxi queues.
