Flooding hits Jakarta
(01-17 14:41)

Heavy monsoonal rains have triggered severe flooding in large swathes of Jakarta forcing many government offices and businesses to close.
The country's Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency is forecasting more bad weather over the next few days.
Reports say the torrential downpours this week forced thousands of people in Jakarta and its satellite cities to flee their homes.
About 100 millimetres of rain fell in the capital overnight. In the centre of Jakarta traffic was brought to a near standstill by waist high flood waters, RTHK reports.
The city's main airport remained open but many roads leading there were reportedly blocked. Most commuter train services and the bus system have stopped running.
It was business as usual at the Jakarta Stock Exchange but trading was light. However, the trade ministry said it was forced to close because of a power cut triggered by the flooding.
