Hang Seng advances

Stocks in Hong Kong edged up 0.49 percent in the first few minutes of trade today as dealers look ahead to the release of Chinese gross domestic product data.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index opened up 114.68 points at 23,471.67, AFP reports
