Australian cops bust drug ring, arrest four

Four people have been arrested in a multi-agency drug bust in Western Australia after the discovery of more than 35 kilograms of methylamphetamine concealed in ceramic tiles, the Australian Federal Police said on Thursday.
The joint investigation involving the police, the Australian Crime Commission and Australian Customs and Border Protection Service began on January, Xinhua news agency reports.
Following criminal intelligence supplied by the ACC, Customs and Border Protection officers examined a container from China that had arrived at the port of Fremantle in Western Australia and found 17 pallets of ceramic tiles.
Further examination revealed a crystalline substance concealed within the tiles that allegedly tested positive for methylamphetamine, police said.
The drugs had an estimated street value of A$13 million (HK$106.7 million).
Police conducted a controlled delivery on Wednesday and raided four properties in the Perth suburbs of Wangara, Balga, Nollamara and Stirling, arresting three men and one woman aged 21 to 49 years.
The four were charged with attempting to possess a border- controlled drug, namely methylamphetamine.
