Hang Seng closes in positive territory

Hong Kong shares climbed 0.59 percent after better-than-expected trade data from China fueled hopes that the economy is picking up pace. The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 135.84 points to 23,354.31 on turnover of HK$92.85 billion.
In Shanghai, shares closed up 0.37 percent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 8.32 points to 2,283.66 on turnover of 98.2 billion yuan.- AFP
