Ombudsman slams 'buck passing' depts
(01-10 12:59)

The Ombudsman has criticsed three government departments for passing the buck when it came to dealing with a piece of government land that has been unlawfully occupied for over 30 years.
The plot in the New Territories was used by local villagers as a hawking area and a car park, with people making flower beds and putting up drying racks on the site, RTHK reports.
The Ombudsman, Alan Lai Nin, said the Home Affairs, Lands and Transport departments all failed to deal with the problem.
