UK trade gap narrows in November
(01-09 19:57)

Britain's trade-in-goods deficit narrowed in November, as rising oil and chemicals exports were offset by a six-year high in imports from the European Union, official data showed on Wednesday.
The deficit shrank to 9.2 billion pounds (HK$114 billion) in November from 9.5 billion pounds in October, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement, AFP reports.
Market expectations had been for the trade deficit to fall to 9.0 billion in November, according to analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires.
