Hang Seng edges up by lunch

Hong Kong shares ended the morning session 0.11 percent higher on Thursday, extending gains from the previous day after US lawmakers reached a last-minute deal to avert the fiscal cliff.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 26.00 points to 23,337.98 on turnover of HK$43.78 billion, AFP reports.
