Lakers misfire, lose to 76ers
(01-02 19:22)

Although Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 36 points, Lakers still lost to Philadelphia 76ers 103-99 on the first day of 2013 at Staples Center.
"It's always a tricky game on a holiday," Pau Gasol warned at practice on Dec. 31, 2012. "So it's a game that we need, and then we'll think about the next one when we get to it."
Too sad, the bad feeling became true as Lakers had poor field goals, shooting only 39 for 94, and the 3-point shots were even poorer, finishing 3 for 22, Xinhua news agency reports.
Philadelphia 76ers shot 41 for 86, and 8 for 22 from long range. Jrue Holiday had 26 points and 10 assists, Evan Turner donated 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Lakers guard Steve Nash contributed 12 points and 10 assists, forward Paul Gasol added 11 points and 9 rebounds while Dwight Howard had 14 rebounds and 7 points.
