HK activist delivers food to Tokyo airport camper

A Hong Kong supporter today delivered a food shipment to a Chinese rights activist who has been camped out inside a Tokyo airport for 10 days after China denied him the right to return home.
Christine Chan, a pro-Tibet student campaigner, took one week's worth of food supplies to Feng Zhenghu, who has sat on a couch in front of the exit immigration checkpoint at Narita International Airport since November 4.
Feng has said he had been denied re-entry to communist China eight times since June and was most recently forced to return to Japan by Chinese authorities at the airport of his home city of Shanghai on November 3.
Feng, whose situation his supporters have likened to the lead character in Steven Spielberg's movie The Terminal, has said he will not leave the airport, to show his resolve to return to his home country.
Hong Kong-based Chen said: "I believe every citizen has the right to freedom of movement. He left the country legally. He is just trying to re-enter. It is his legal right.''
She brought Feng biscuits, instant noodles and an electric water kettle to prepare food, and was to return to Hong Kong after a few hours as part of a "Tokyo Airlift'' project organized by overseas-based supporters.
Feng came to Japan in April for a break, having served 41 days in detention at the hands of Shanghai authorities earlier this year.
London-based human rights group Amnesty International lists Feng as a prominent activist who has been jailed in the past.
