(NBA) Celtics win duel with Heat, lose Rondo

The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 100-98 on Sunday on a go-ahead basket by Paul Pierce. But the Green has lost their All-Star point guard for the rest of this sean.
Rajon Rondo will have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right knee, where he was injured in the loss to Atlanta on Friday.
Ray Allen, who played for Boston for five seasons before joining the rival Heat this season, scored 21 points.
Kevin Garnett scored 24 point and had 11 rebounds, and Pierce had a triple double with 17 points, 13 boards and 10 assists for the Celtics.
LeBron James had 34 points for the Heat.
