The world’s first Monopoly themed attraction will soon arrive in Hong Kong at The Peak.
Monopoly is without doubt one of the world’s most iconic and popular family board games with a rich history dating back to 1965, and over 1 billion players in 114 countries across the globe. Soon, everyone will be able to experience a transformed Monopoly experience as Monopoly DreamsTM, the world’s first fully immersive Monopoly-themed attraction, opens in the third quarter this year at The Peak Galleria in Hong Kong.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our supporters. Without their enthusiastic participation, our success would not be possible,” says Gary Chan, Chief Operations Officer of Monopoly DreamsTM. "Monopoly is a part of everyone’s childhood, and Monopoly DreamsTM is the first of its kind, and will give everybody a surreal Monopoly experience like never before.”
Opening at The Peak which is regarded as the ‘King of Property’ in the Hong Kong edition of Monopoly, Monopoly DreamsTM will span 20,000 sq. ft, and embodies both an indoor and outdoor area. Equipped with AR, hologram, and 4D interactive game technology, it allows visitors to experience the game outside of the board of Monopoly.
What’s more, it also features unique attractions based on iconic Monopoly elements such as the Bank, Water Supply, Jail, Title Deed cards, Chance cards, Community Chest cards, and is a place where fans can truly have fun and realize their dreams.
"Our exciting partnership with Monopoly DreamsTM allows Hasbro to further extend the reach of Monopoly to the location-based entertainment sector, and provide families and tourists with wonderfully memorable and highly immersive entertainment experiences by stepping into the first fully immersive Monopoly-themed entertainment attraction,” says Casey Collins, GM & SVP Entertainment & Licencing of Hasbro Inc..
"We have spared no expense to design and create Monopoly DreamsTM, and highly treasure the establishment of this project,” says Chan. "We target to accommodate over 700,000 visitors. Not only are we dedicated to bringing an immersive interactive experience for all generations of local Hong Kong citizens, we also endeavour to offer a new destination for visitors that will further propel the tourism of Hong Kong.”
