By mid-April, Hong Kong will receive 20,000 doses of flu vaccines meant for countries in the southern hemisphere, the Food and Health Secretary Sophia Chan Siu-chee said today. The additional vaccines are being ordered in the midst of a severe shortage of flu shots in Hong Kong.

Among the world's leading producers of influenza vaccines for the northern and southern hemispheres, is Sanofi Pasteur.
