In view of the growing interest in overseas property, The Standard and Sing Tao The Standard Overseas Property Online jointly organized an expo with a series of investment seminars for their readers, which attracted more than 900 visitors.

As many investors have turned their focus to overseas properties in order to diversify their investment portfolios and seek better returns, the "Overseas Property Expo 2017" and "Overseas Property Investment Opportunities 2018" featured speakers who are well-versed on this subject.

The expo took place at the JW Marriot Hotel in Admiralty, with up-to-date information and data on various markets in Europe and Asia, covering the latest property market trends in Britain, Germany, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Yip King Keung, a consultant from the Open University of Hong Kong, said he has bullish expectations for the property markets in southeast Asia - especially Thailand - as the Pan Asian Railway network will enhance the country's economic growth.

Meanwhile, in Japan, investors have regained confidence against the backdrop of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and impending opening of Osaka casinos.
