MTR stations close following fires and vandalism

Multiple MTR stations are being closed following vandalism and arson. 

At 15.43, MTR Corp announced that service between Tsim Sha Tsui and Prince Edward on Tsuen Wan line; Yau Ma Tei to Prince Edward for Kwun Tong line; and between Tsim Sha Tsui East to Austin stations for West Rail line has been suspended. 

Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui East and Mongkok stations were closed after petrol bombs were thrown at its entances. 

MTR has closed Tsim Sha Tsui station and Austin station at noon today ahead of expected protests, and security at the West Kowloon station was also beefed up, only leaving one exit open.

Airport Express will only provide service to and from Hong Kong station and the Airport.

MTR will once again stop service at 10 pm tonight for repairs after vandalism in recent unrest.

On a separate note, the following High Speed trains are cancelled due to signalling fault: G5842, G5841, G5844, G5843, G5846, G5845, G5848, G5847.
