Foreman remanded for taking illegal payments

A foreman of a construction company who pleaded guilty to a count of conspiracy for agent to accept advantages at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today has been remanded in custody.

Mok Yui-ki, 42, foreman of Ming Tai Construction Engineering, was accused of conspiracy to accept illegal rebates totaling HK$43,350 from a fellow worker for securing the latter’s employment with the company between September 2011 and April 2013.

He will be sentenced on July 26.
