China’s telecommunications operators will launch 5G service plans in July or August and fees will be no more than that for 4G services, state media Securities Daily reported.

The report says China will issue commercial 5G licenses to the three biggest wireless carriers - China Mobile (0941), China Telecom (0728), and China Unicom (0762) - this week.

China will set up a 5G network with over 3 million 5G base stations within three years and over 6 million stations within five years, the reports says.
